LAA UPDATE: The LAA have announced that their new bulk upload portal will go live in February 2026. Lawsyst team are pleased to share that our systems are ready for the new changes. There is nothing new to learn in Lawsyst but please ensure that you are abreast with the new SaBC portal. Please note that you will no longer be able to create claims on the SaBC portal. You must upload the bulk-upload file each month even if with zero claims. Secondly, the new SaBC portal will allow one bulk-upload per contract each month. Previously providers were able to upload one bulk upload file for multiple contracts. This means that the providers will need to allow more time for the billing purposes. Finally, the LAA will require retrospect bulk-upload files that must include the 'New Fee Code' to be uploaded for the contingency period. We are pleased to share that Lawsyst system supports creation of bulk-upload files in the new format for any previous months.     We are hiring. If you have experience in the legal tech industry, we would love to talk to you. Please send your CV to info@lawsyst.co.uk

Like most legal professionals, wills and estates lawyers must strike the perfect balance between keeping their administrative duties in check and providing best-in-class advice, support, and representation to their clients.

Lawsyst’s legal matter management software makes it much easier for estate planning solicitors and law firms to achieve this objective, offering a range of valuable features to help estate administration specialists streamline key tasks and transform their day-to-day operations.

Discover the biggest benefits of our wills and probate case management software below.

Lawsyst estate planning software: 5 key features

Whether you’re writing a will, applying for a grant of probate, or advising on a lasting power of attorney, our legal case management system helps you make light work of the time and resource-intensive processes inseparable from the everyday running of an estate planning law firm. Here are some of its key features:

Legal document management system

Lawsyst’s in-built document storage system enables probate and estate solicitors to manage matter-related documents from a single central location. Through a seamless Microsoft Word integration, our cloud-based system allows you to upload, edit, and review wills, lasting power of attorney, and other relevant legal forms such as COP1 and LP2 at any time, without the need to switch between systems.

Automated workflows

While it’s true that no two matters are ever the same, many of them require you to follow the same steps. Our automated legal workflows have been developed to ensure that you complete every task essential to your estate planning and administration case, from preparing a will and helping to identify beneficiaries, to applying for probate, distributing assets, and advising on capital gains and inheritance tax.

Legal calendars

With our legal calendar software, you can stay organised and on track. If your firm uses Microsoft Outlook, Lawsyst can connect with your existing setup while supporting two-way synchronisation between the platforms. This helps to reduce the risk of missed deadlines and appointments, ensures more effective workload management, and promotes greater collaboration across your legal team.

Client portal

With time at a premium for wills and probate solicitors, Lawsyst’s specially designed client portal for law firms goes some way to reducing operational inefficiencies. This smart tool eliminates the need to set up in-person meetings to discuss next steps alongside reducing the requirement to send documents by post. Instead, lawyers can use our online portal to share essential documentation with clients directly, whether it's to collect electronic signatures electronically or send an invoice.

Time tracking and billing tools

Perhaps the most important feature of our estate planning practice management software is its ability to help law practitioners record time more accurately. In doing so, your firm will be able to measure fee earner and other staff performance, calculate the profitability of individual matters, identify opportunities for growth, and create more transparent client invoices.

Helping estate planning law firms boost their efficiency

The five features highlighted above are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to demonstrating how Lawsyst’s legal case management software can help will writing, probate and estate administration law firms manage their caseloads, streamline internal processes, and deliver exceptional legal services to their clients.
