LAA UPDATE: The LAA have announced that their new bulk upload portal will go live in February 2026. Lawsyst team are pleased to share that our systems are ready for the new changes. There is nothing new to learn in Lawsyst but please ensure that you are abreast with the new SaBC portal. Please note that you will no longer be able to create claims on the SaBC portal. You must upload the bulk-upload file each month even if with zero claims. Secondly, the new SaBC portal will allow one bulk-upload per contract each month. Previously providers were able to upload one bulk upload file for multiple contracts. This means that the providers will need to allow more time for the billing purposes. Finally, the LAA will require retrospect bulk-upload files that must include the 'New Fee Code' to be uploaded for the contingency period. We are pleased to share that Lawsyst system supports creation of bulk-upload files in the new format for any previous months.     We are hiring. If you have experience in the legal tech industry, we would love to talk to you. Please send your CV to info@lawsyst.co.uk

Firms handling divorce, child custody, or cohabitation disputes often juggle vast paperwork, court filings, and client communications. This legal case management software UK consolidates everything into a single, secure platform, eliminating physical files and reducing retrieval time from hours to seconds.

Key benefits for family law firms:

Workflow automation

Family law involves multi-step processes like drafting consent orders and coordinating referrals. Legal workflow software handles task assignments, document generation, and deadline reminders automatically. Solicitors set up customisable templates that adapt to specific case types, freeing time for client advocacy. Legal case management system UK reduces manual errors and keeps teams aligned across hearings and negotiations, ensuring smoother case progression.

Integrated accounting

Family law billing covers trust accounts and phased payments tied to case developments. Integrated accounting links time entries directly to client ledgers for seamless invoicing. Features manage reconciliations and calculations compliant with regulatory standards. Firms gain real-time views of profitability per matter, enabling better fee adjustments and faster collections through built-in payment options.

Enhanced client communication

Emotional family disputes demand clear, frequent updates to build trust. Legal case management software UK offer secure access to timelines, file uploads, and electronic signatures. Automated alerts notify clients of key dates or responses, cutting down on calls and emails. Video tools support virtual meetings, while tracking helps prioritise urgent matters, fostering stronger relationships and referrals.

Anywhere access

Solicitors can access legal case management system UK anywhere through remote access. Mobile ready systems provide instant access to files from any device, with updates syncing across platforms. Offline capabilities handle poor connectivity in remote areas. This setup supports flexible schedules, letting lawyers review documents or approve actions on the move without delays.

Compliance & risk reduction

Family law requires strict adherence to welfare checklists, data protection, and conflict rules. Cloud-based legal case management software UK embed audit trails, automatic checks, and version control for documents ensuring SRA compliance. Encryption protects sensitive information, and proactive alerts flag potential issues early. This minimises errors in court submissions and simplifies regulatory reviews, shielding firms from claims.

Data & reporting

Analytics reveal patterns in case handling and outcomes. Dashboards track durations, matter types, and performance metrics. Custom reports highlight bottlenecks or strengths, aiding resource planning. Exportable insights support pitches to partners like mediators, positioning firms as forward-thinking leaders in a competitive field.

Legal case management software UK deliver efficiency gains, better client service, and growth potential for UK family law firms.

Efficiency through automation

Teams collaborate seamlessly via shared dashboards, reducing handover errors and speeding case progression from initial inquiries to resolution.

Superior client service

Emotional family matters demand transparency and responsiveness. Secure client portals let individuals upload documents, track milestones, and communicate directly, minimising phone calls and building trust. Automated updates on hearing dates or query statuses keep clients informed without constant solicitor intervention. Mobile access ensures prompt replies to urgent needs, like emergency protection orders, enhancing satisfaction and encouraging referrals in a competitive market.

Compliance and risk management

Regulatory demands under GDPR, SRA standards, and welfare checklists create compliance burdens. Software embeds audit trails, conflict checks, and version control, flagging risks like incomplete safeguarding assessments early. This proactive approach prevents oversights, simplifies inspections, and protects against negligence claims, allowing focus on advocacy.

Unlocking growth potential

Streamlined operations boost capacity without added staff, enabling firms to handle more complex settlements or expand services like mediation. Real-time reporting reveals profitable matter types and bottlenecks, informing strategic decisions. Faster turnarounds improve cash flow through integrated billing, while data insights support marketing to high-net-worth clients.
