LAA UPDATE: The LAA have announced that their new bulk upload portal will go live in February 2026. Lawsyst team are pleased to share that our systems are ready for the new changes. There is nothing new to learn in Lawsyst but please ensure that you are abreast with the new SaBC portal. Please note that you will no longer be able to create claims on the SaBC portal. You must upload the bulk-upload file each month even if with zero claims. Secondly, the new SaBC portal will allow one bulk-upload per contract each month. Previously providers were able to upload one bulk upload file for multiple contracts. This means that the providers will need to allow more time for the billing purposes. Finally, the LAA will require retrospect bulk-upload files that must include the 'New Fee Code' to be uploaded for the contingency period. We are pleased to share that Lawsyst system supports creation of bulk-upload files in the new format for any previous months.     We are hiring. If you have experience in the legal tech industry, we would love to talk to you. Please send your CV to info@lawsyst.co.uk

Getting found online is not optional for law firms anymore. When someone needs legal help, the first thing they do is search on Google. It does not matter if they need a family lawyer, an immigration solicitor, or advice on a business dispute. They type a few words and start scrolling. If your firm is not showing up on that first page, they are going to choose someone else in the top ranking.

This is exactly why digital marketing for lawyers has become so important. A good online presence puts your firm right in front of people who are already looking for your legal services. And beyond just showing up, it helps people feel confident about reaching out before they even speak to you.

Why Google rankings matter for lawyers

Most people never scroll past the first page of Google results. They click on one of the first few options because those firms look more trustworthy and relevant. For lawyers, that means your search results ranking impacts how many people contact your office.

Ranking higher is not only about getting more visits to your website. This is about reaching people who are looking for legal help right now. Those visitors are far more likely to turn into actual clients compared to someone who sees a newspaper ad or a billboard. And the good news is that with the right approach and some consistent work, better rankings are absolutely possible.

Start with a website built for users

A lot of law firm websites spend too much time listing services and not enough time thinking about the person reading the page. Google pays close attention to how visitors behave on your site. If they land on your page and leave in seconds, that sends a negative signal.

Your website should load fast, look good on a phone, and make it easy for someone to find what they need quickly. Simple navigation, a visible phone number, easy contact forms, and clear writing all make a difference. When visitors stay on your site longer and actually read your content, Google notices. Over time, that helps push your rankings up.

Create helpful content that answers real questions

One of the best ways to improve your position on Google is through content. People search because they have a question or a problem. If your website has the answer, they are more likely to find you and trust you.

Do not just write pages that describe your services. Write things that actually help people understand what they are dealing with. Explain how a legal process works, what someone can expect during a case, or what their options are in a specific situation. This kind of content is a big part of good digital marketing for lawyers because it builds trust and visibility at the same time.
